Pennine Rigate Cuore Mio Bio 500GR The Granoro Cuore Mio range of pasta is made using high-quality durum wheat semolina mixed with flour obtained from a variety of barley known as Beta barley, which contains a high amount of beta-glucan, a soluble fibre that helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. A regular daily intake of 3 g of beta-glucan, alongside a balanced, low-fat diet and a healthy, active life style, will help maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. A portion of 80 g of raw Granoro Cuore Mio pasta contains approx. 2. 4 g of beta-glucan, which is naturally contained in the barley flour mixed in with the durum wheat semolina, and therefore provides more than two thirds of the daily intake considered beneficial for our health. 100 g of raw Granoro Cuore Mio pasta (which becomes approx. 200 g when cooked) would provide the daily intake of 3 g, which is the minimum amount recommended for obtaining positive effects in terms of maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels, with positive effects on the cardiovascular system. A portion of Granoro Cuore Mio pasta also contains a significant amount of dietary fibre, which between the soluble fibre (beta-glucan) and insoluble fibre is equal to 7 g, more than double the amount contained in pasta made exclusively with durum wheat semolina, meaning it more than qualifies as a food with a high-fibre content. Daily and regular consumption of this pasta will help to protect the cardiovascular system.
