Stove Top: 1. In a 2 quart saucepan, combine 1-1/2 cups hot water and 2 tablespoons margarine. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. 2. Stir in 1/2 cup 2% milk along with one packet of four cheese potatoes. Let sand until liquid is absorbed, about 1 minute. 3. Whip with fork until smooth. For stiffer potatoes, allow to stand for 3 to 5 more minutes. Note: For 8 Servings: Increase water to 3 cups, milk to 1 cup, and margarine to 1/4 cup. Use 2 packets of four cheese potatoes. If microwaving increase time to 6 to 8 minutes. High Altitude: No changes. Microwave: 1. In a 2 quart microwave safe casserole, combine one packet of four cheese potatoes, increase hot water to 1-2/3 cups, 1/2 cup 2% milk, and add 2 tablespoons margarine. Stir. 2. Cover with plastic wrap, peeling back one edge to vent. Microwave on high for 2 to 6 minutes (Note: Microwave ovens vary; adjust times as needed) . High Altitude: No changes.
