Frangelico Liqueur
Short Description
The golden-coloured liqueur Frangelico from Barbero is dominated by a delicious hazelnut flavour. In the taste you can also find roasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and vanilla flavours.
Long Description
The hazelnut liqueur comes from the north of Italy, from the region of Piedmont, which is particularly famous for its excellent red wines. The recipe is over 300 years old and goes back to the distilling art of monks in this Italian region. The exact recipe of the Frangelico hazelnut liqueur is secret. It is only known that this tasty liqueur is made from wild hazelnuts of the Tonda Gentile variety. For this purpose, the Northern Italian hazelnuts are first peeled, roasted and chopped in a four-step process. They are then steeped in a mixture of alcohol and water. This liquid is then distilled and mixed with the natural extracts of cocoa, vanilla and other ingredients as well as alcohol, sugar and water. The Frangelico Liqueur is then stored for 6 to 8 weeks.
