What is liqueur?
As soon as the word "liqueur" is mentioned, which also refers to Orahovac walnut liqueur, most people think of a very sweet drink. To label this as false would not be correct, because it is true. since in most liqueurs the sweet taste is indeed dominant. But is this always the case? Why don't you let ours surprise you?

Connoisseurs and specialists who have perfected the art of liqueur production in Italy, for example, or who know about it: Only sweet is a bit monotonous in the long run. The sweetness in liqueurs only appears when they are contrasted with other flavours.

The preparation
Especially when preparing a walnut liqueur such as Orahovac Walnut Liqueur, it makes sense to experiment a little with bitter notes. Green walnuts, which make up this product, contain natural tanning agents that are released when exposed to light and air and produce these bitter notes. Because they also contain ascorbic acid (sometimes a higher proportion than lemons), a slight acidity acts as a link between sweetness and bitterness. All this works without the addition of artificial flavourings! This liqueur does not at all follow the recipe of the classic liqueur you are used to.

Orahovac walnut liqueur, which consists of green walnuts, will enchant you with its delicious and bitter nutty aroma. During production, special attention was paid to the ideal ratio of green walnuts and liquid. Otherwise, it will become much too drink bitter and sour, which would make it completely inedible.
